Does the world really need a new functional programming language? Microsoft thinks so, and they are developing F# to that end. There's not much information available yet on the topic of F# (except for maybe a few Powerpoint slides). Let it be said that I hate functional programming languages like Scheme and ML. They force me to think differently than I do using more familiar O-O, or object-based languages like Java, C#, and VB. So, while F# might be a good academic exercise, I doubt that I will be implementing any code soon.Labels: Archives_2004
